Obama okays US$ 1 billion aid package to Pakistan for the year 2015

In what could be a great news for Pakistan, the United States government has allocated US$ 1 billion in aid for Pakistan for the year 2015 alone. The National Defense Authorization act, signed recently by President Obama, sets the overall defense expenditure of US at a staggering USD 578 billion which also includes provision to release 'Coalition Support Fund' amounting to USD 1 billion to Pakistan. This grant is in addition to USD 25.91 billion that has flowed into Pakistan from the pockets of American taxpayers since 9/11. An break-up analysis reveals that two-thirds of this amount (about USD 17.2 billion) has been given as 'military assistance' that is meant for Pakistani Army & ISI.

Strangely, in spite of all these funds, US (alongside India) has been one of the most hated nation in Pakistan. This is all because of Pakistan's Media which has a bizarre policy of blaming India & US for all militancy in Pakistan.
